Driver flees scene on rims after accident

First responders look at a car, driven about half a mile with damaged wheels, after its driver hit a retaining wall at the corner of W. Spicer Lane and Garrison Chapel Rd. before 8 p.m., Sunday, April 7, 2019 in Bloomington, Ind. After the driver hit the wall they drove along Garrison Chapel and turned left onto Airport Road. The driver abandoned the car in the 7500 block of Airport Road and then began to stumble down the road before running. The driver was taken to a hospital, and the banged up car, missing both front tires, was towed away. One tire on the front passenger side was completely missing from the rim.
