According to a press release from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Luis Posso, 32, and his wife Dayan Medina Flores, 25, have been charged for neglect in the death of 12-year-old Eduardo Posso. The couple were staying in a local hotel, which was searched by Monroe County Sheriff’s detectives. An examination of Eduardo Posso found signs of abuse, and starvation. A husband and wife were charged last Friday multiple counts of Level 1 felony neglect of a twelve year old boy, who died the day before, after he was presented to a Bloomington Hospital for treatment. Examination of the Eduardo Posso found multiple signs of abuse and starvation. Luis Posso, 32 claims to be the father of the child. His wife Dayan Medina Flores, 25, are in housed at the Monroe County Correctional Center. Three other children; a 9 year old girl, a 5 year old boy, and a 2 year old boy were placed in the care of Child Protection services. They appear to be healthy. MCSO detectives searched the motel room where the family was staying while working in the area. Detectives found a box containing restraints and a K9 shock collar. Examination of mobile phones recovered during the investigation, found video footage of the child restrained in a bathtub. Children and Flores are seen coming and going in the bathroom and paying no attention to the child. A photo of a “selfie” of Posso, includes Eduardo under restraints.The family were in the Monroe County area for their employment, which is distributing advertising for a circus which tours around the United States. The investigation will likely include multiple jurisdictions over a long period of time.””
