IU men’s rugby vs Iona

The Indiana University men’s rugby team plays against Iona College, Saturday, August 31, 2019 in Bloomington, Ind. Iona beat the Hoosiers 33-5. Iona scored 5 tries and had 4 conversions, while IU only had one try. A try is similar to a touchdown in American football, and the ball has to be touched down to the turf to score. Tries are worth 5 points, and a conversion is worth 2. Blakely LeMaster scored IU’s try against Iona. IU had five freshmen starters during the game, and three of them are All-Americans.
