Two traffic accidents involving multiple vehicles occurred
Thursday afternoon in Bloomington.
An accident at 1:42 p.m., at the intersection of Cory Lane
and W. Third Street involved at least three vehicles. The Bloomington Police,
Bloomington Fire Department, and IU Health responded to the scene. The
Bloomingtonian was unable to confirm if there were any injuries, but there did
not appear to be serious injuries.
A second accident involving three vehicles, two colliding head-on, occurred at 4:13 p.m. at the intersection of S. Patterson Dr., and W. Second St. The Bloomingtonian was unable to confirm if there were any injuries, but there did not appear to be serious injuries. BPD, the Bloomington Fire Department, and IU Health were at the scene.
A third accident took place at the intersection of S. State
Road 37, and Smithville Rd. when a car t-boned another car around 5:46 p.m.
Scanner traffic indicated that a driver of one of the vehicles was injured with
facial lacerations when their car was t-boned. The Bloomingtonian was unable to
get to the scene to report first hand.
