The Mayor of Bloomington, along with others, including two former mayors John Fernandez, and Tomi Allison, spoke during the Grand Opening Ceremony of Switchyard Park, Saturday night. The ceremony was followed by a ribbon cutting, and the Hamilton turning on the lights at the new park, which was years in the planning, and construction. After the lights were on an announcement by was made by Cook Group President Pete Yonkman that the B-Town Boom fireworks would be in the park July 2, 2020, and then there was a fireworks display.
Opening festivities for the park continue Sunday, November 17, beginning at 11 a.m.

11:30 AM – 3:00 PM Monroe Co. History Center and Monon RR Historical-Technical Society in the Picnic Shelter
