Thousands watch annual Krampus Parade downtown

A Krampus creature breathes fire during the annual Krampus Parade, Saturday, December 7, 2019 in downtown Bloomington, Ind. The Krampus were accompanied by angels, Saint Nicholas, fire throwers, and a group of children acting as misbehaved children. Krampus, a tradition originating from Central European folklore, features half goat, half demon, monsters, that seek children, who have misbehaved, to punish them during the Christmas Season. St. Nicholas gives presents to children who have behaved. Thousands lined the parade route to watch. (Photo by Jeremy Hogan/The Bloomingtonian)
