Some Little 500 events cancelled, but races will only be cancelled as a last resort

The IU foundation, and IUSF management have cancelled all Little 500 bicycle race events through April 5th due to “the rapidly changing COVID-19 situation” according to a Facebook post, Thursday.

The statement lists cancellations for all practices from Thursday, through April 5th, Individual Time Trials scheduled April 1st, Miss N Out scheduled April 4th, and Team Pursuit scheduled April 11th.  Qualifications are rescheduled for April 11th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The statement says they will continue to monitor the situation, and as a last resort, the races will be cancelled by April 13th.

The women’s and men’s Little 500 bicycle races are scheduled for April 24th, and 25th, respectively.
