COVID-19/Coronavirus cases have jumped from 39 to 56 in Indiana according to the Indiana State Department of Health. The number of deaths remains at 2.
However, in two days, the number of cases listed for Marion County spiked to 19.
A total of 380 people have been tested according to the site, which has the disclaimer, “Number of tests is provisional and reflects only those reported to ISDH. Numbers should not be characterized as a comprehensive total.”
There is no new information available on testing capabilities in Monroe County, but the statistics don’t show any active cases in the county. However the Monroe County Health Department administrator Penny Caudill said the chances of an infection occurring in Monroe County is high.
