A 20-year-old Bloomington man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery reported Sunday.

Dakota Deckard faces preliminary charges of robbery resulting in injury, a level 2 felony.

The incident occurred Sunday in the 3200 block of East 10th Street. At 10 p.m., police received a report that two men had entered an apartment and ordered occupants to get on the floor. During the incident, police said a 24-year-old woman pulled a handgun and shot one of the suspected robbers in the neck. The second assailant fled the scene.

During the investigation, police learned a man by the name of Dakota was involved in the robbery. Police were later able to identify Deckard as the suspect. He was found Tuesday at a residence on North Maple Street and was taken into custody for questioning.

Police continue to investigate the case as another man is believed to have been involved.
