Local fitness club delivering energy drinks to local first responders; asking for donations

By Marci Creps

The owners of Indiana Fitness Club are hoping to deliver energy drinks to area first responders and nurses as the country deals with COVID-19.

Steve Hale said the club delivered 16 cases this week but is hoping for a larger order so it can include every nursing floor of Bloomington Hospital and Monroe Hospital.

“With COVID expected to peak in the coming weeks, we thought this would be a perfect time to show some love to healthcare workers/first responders in Bloomington,” Hale said in a Facebook message.

Hale said the fitness club is reaching out to local business that may want to donate.

The donation cost for a 12-can case is $24 with tax included. On a larger order, the cost would be $22 per case. Hale said he is happy to include the business or individual’s name as public recognition.

Hale plans to place on order Wednesday for delivery on Friday.

For more information or to donate, reach out to Hale at 812-876-9891 or through Indiana Fitness Club’s Facebook or Instagram page. Payments can be processed over the phone.
