Bloomington first lady Dawn Johnsen hospitalized for COVID-19/Coronavirus

Bloomington’s first lady Dawn Johnsen is now in Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital being treated for COVID-19/Coronavirus, according to a Saturday evening Facebook post from Bloomington Mayor John Hamilton.

“Thank you all for so many good wishes to Dawn. I want to update that Dawn as of this morning is now in the IUH hospital, getting treatment for COVID19. She is receiving great care in their state-of-the-art protocols — thanks again to our awesome health workers every day — and we’re lucky to have access to such a fine health care system. It’s hard not being able to visit and be with her in person, but we’re in regular touch by phone and such. She cherishes all the support and we’ll look forward to the sweet scenes of reunions that will come after this fix-up in the hospital, and after this pandemic. Stay safe all, and take care of each other,” said Hamilton.
