Two Monroe County residents have died from COVID-19/Coronavirus according to ISDH

According to the Indiana State Health Department, Monroe County has now had two deaths from COVID-19/Coronavirus, according to the latest statistics on their site.

Monroe County now had 95 confirmed cases of the virus caused disease out of the state’s 8,955 cases, 436 Hoosiers have now died, and 48,396 have been tested.

Yesterday, the IU Chemistry Department Facebook page announced the death of IU Chemistry professor Dennis Peters, and said his death was from COVID-19/Coronavirus complications. His death appears to be reflected in the latest statistics release from the ISDH.
