Members of the Bloomington Police Department and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office pursued a woman driving a car but failing to stop until she ended up on a dead-end street Friday night.
The woman driving a Pontiac finally stopped on an unnamed dead-end street on W. 8th Street between Hays and Sprint Streets around 10:56 p.m. At least four cars from both the BPD and MCSO had been in pursuit.
Officers then took the woman into custody and began to investigate the scene, looking through the car, and speaking to the woman before she was finally put into the back of a police car. A tow truck towed the car she was driving.
The Bloomingtonian was unable to attend the 11 a.m. police briefing at the police station Saturday morning due to having another assignment at that time but will update this story if more information becomes available.
