Protesters ask health department to make a stronger statement about reopening schools during pandemic; protest before school board meeting planned for Tuesday

A group of protesters socially distanced and held signs to protest against the opening of MCCSC Schools by standing outside Monroe County government offices.
The protesters are asking for schools to be closed until COVID infection numbers decrease in the county. April Hennessey said protesters are wanting the Monroe County Health Department to make a stronger statement against reopening local schools during the COVID19 pandemic.
Protesters will gather Tuesday at the MCCSC school building from 4:45-5:45 p.m. before the school board meeting.
