BMW stolen while left running outside gas station

A 2007 black BMW was stolen at the Winslow Marathon Tuesday afternoon, according to the Bloomington Police Department.

Police told the Bloomingtonian the owner of the car, which has two blue stripes painted on the hood, had left the car running with the keys in it outside the gas station. The owner ran into the store while gassing up the car but found that it was gone.

Police have no suspects in the theft.

Apparent fatal overdose

A person was found dead of an apparent overdose in the 300 block of N. Pete Ellis Drive, according to the Bloomington Police Department.

Investigators found items at the scene that led them to preliminarily believe the death was caused by a drug overdose.

Jogger and vehicle collide

The driver of a Mitsubishi passenger vehicle collided with a jogger Wednesday, according to the Bloomington Police Department.

The driver told police they weren’t aware of the jogger until they stuck them just before 6:50 p.m. The jogger suffered a broken leg and other injuries.

The driver was given a field sobriety test, which they passed.
