Man arrives at hospital with gunshot wound Wednesday night; Police investigating

The Bloomington Police are investigating after a man sought treatment for a gunshot wound Wednesday night, according to Bloomington Police Capt. Ryan Pedigo.

Police responded to the area of 1600 N. Willis Drive around 10:41 p.m. after a man arrived, suffering a gunshot wound around 10:30 p.m., at IU Health Bloomington. Police also received a report of a gunshot in the area on N. Willis by a resident. The resident told police they saw people leaving the area in a passenger car after the gunshot.

Police secured the area of Lower Valley Rd. in the Arlington Valley Mobile Park with tape while they walked up and down the street with flashlights looking for evidence. The investigation is still active according to Pedigo.

The Bloomington Police Department is asking anybody who may have been a witness, heard anything, or who has video of the incident to contact the Bloomington Police at (812) 339-4477.
