
Police and emergency services workers responded to the 1700 block of W. 8th Street Thursday night after a man reported being robbed, and stabbed, according to scanner traffic.
Bloomington Police Department Capt. Ryan Pedigo confirmed to The Bloomingtonian officers responded to the area around 11:42 p.m., and a man was found on the ground holding a towel to a wound above the knee. He told police another man had tried to take his money, and then stabbed him.
Pedigo said the 21 year old man, who was having trouble speaking, was taken to IU Health Bloomington Hospital after a tourniquet was applied to the wound. A canine tracking dog from the Indiana State Police failed to find a track to locate a suspect.
Police are still investigating the incident, and will continue to follow up, said Pedigo.
