A 27-year-old woman who allegedly chased a 35-year-old man and while shooting at him in the 600 block of W. 12th Street, May 21st, was taken into custody by the Columbus, Ohio, police on Memorial Day, according to Bloomington Police Department Capt. Ryan Pedigo. The man was slightly injured in the shooting.
Samantha Glenn, wanted for attempted murder, was located around 8 p.m. Monday behind a church in Columbus, Ohio in the same van she fled in after the Bloomington shooting then days ago.
“Officers from the Columbus Police Department were alerted to the outstanding arrest warrant for Glenn for the charges of Attempted Murder, level 1 felony, and Criminal Recklessness with a Deadly Weapon, level 5 felony, and took Glenn into custody without incident. She is being housed at the Franklin County Jail in Ohio awaiting extradition back to Monroe County,” Pedigo told the media in a press release Tuesday.

“Bloomington Police Investigate Shooting – UPDATE
On May 21st, 2021 at approximately 10:56 a.m., officers responded to the 600 block of W 12th Street in reference to a woman calling 911 to report that another woman was trying to shoot her husband. While officers were responding to the scene, it was reported that the 35 year-old victim had indeed been shot in both his hand and his side. Upon the arrival of investigators, it was determined that the victim had been walking in the neighborhood when he reportedly heard footsteps quickly approaching behind him. The victim reported that he then turned around and saw a female suspect raise a handgun and the suspect began firing at him as he ran northbound on Fairview Street from the intersection of 12th Street. The victim was transported by ambulance to the IU Health Bloomington Hospital Emergency Department for treatment of his injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.
Information collected by investigators has identified a person of interest in the shooting as Samantha Glenn (27, Bloomington). The victim positively identified Glenn as the shooter and reported that both he and his wife have known her for several years. It is believed that Glenn fled the scene in a black 2013 Dodge Caravan bearing Indiana registration 610RAL.
On May 31st, 2021 at approximately 8:00 p.m., Detective Scott received a phone call from an officer with the Columbus (Ohio) Police Department. The officer advised Detective Scott that Samantha Glenn had been located behind a church in Columbus in the same van that she was last seen driving shortly after the shooting. Officers from the Columbus Police Department were alerted to the outstanding arrest warrant for Glenn for the charges of Attempted Murder, level 1 felony, and Criminal Recklessness with a Deadly Weapon, level 5 felony, and took Glenn into custody without incident. She is being housed at the Franklin County Jail in Ohio awaiting extradition back to Monroe County.
