Hit and run suspect sought after pedestrian struck at W. Kirkwood and College Ave., Sunday morning

Members of Bloomington area law enforcement were investigating a hit-and-run collision and looking for a suspect after a man was struck by a burnt orange Jeep Wrangler with a hardtop around 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning at the corner of W. Kirkwood and College Avenue, according to radio dispatches.
An injured male was loaded onto a stretcher and transported to a hospital by EMS workers. Members of the Bloomington Fire Department also responded to the scene.
A member of the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office witnessed the collision, according to scanner traffic, and the Jeep was soon found abandoned near the intersection of 7th and Lincoln.
