Alexandra’s Army, a group of children, led by Alexandra Daley, collected over 4,000 pounds of food for the Hoosier Hills Foodbank. The food was loaded into a box truck by food drive participants during the drop off event at the Eagle’s Club on S. Walnut, June 19th.
Daley, who is now 8-years-old, began collecting food when she was 4, collecting about 50 pounds of food, according to the website: https://www.alexandrasarmy.org
Her father Skip Daley accompanied her as she knocked on dozens of doors the first year of the food drive. This year dozens of children from across the community joined Daley to help collect food.
