Stabbing Tuesday night being investigated by Monroe County Sheriff’s Office

A 55-year-old man was stabbed multiple times Tuesday, said the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in the 6700 block of South Harmony Rd Tuesday, June 29th just after 9 p.m. after a report of a stabbing. When Sheriff’s Deputies arrived, they found a male with multiple stab wounds, but conscious, according to a press release from the MCSO.

“The investigation has revealed that a verbal altercation between the victim and suspect took place at the residence which turned physical and was broken up by other parties at the residence. A short time later, the suspect came out of the residence with a knife and began attacking the male victim. The suspect then fled the scene on foot,” according to the MCSO.

Detectives from the MCSO responded to conduct the rest of the investigation and process the crime scene.

The MCSO said the names of the victim and suspect are being withheld because the investigation is ongoing.
