Man tells police he was shot at Tuesday

A man in a vehicle pulled out a silver semi-automatic handgun and is suspected of firing two rounds at another man Tuesday in the 3400 block of E. John Hinkle Place, according to Bloomington Police Department Capt. Ryan Pedigo.

A 19-year-old man reported to police he believes he was shot at after a vehicle slowed down and came to a stop around 6:09 p.m. Tuesday in the parking lot of an apartment building, said Pedigo. The man who said he was shot at when he saw the vehicle dove behind another vehicle to take cover before the suspected shooter sped away.

Police located a single 9mm shell casing at the scene and found damage where a bullet struck an apartment building’s exterior wall.
