Gallery: Vauhxx Booker holds press conference after being charged with battery and trespassing
August 2, 2021; Bloomington, Indiana: Vauhxx Booker, listens during a press conference after a special prosecutor charged him with felony assault and trespassing over a year after he was attacked on July 4, 2020 at Lake Monroe, Monday, August 2, 2021 at the Monroe County Courthouse in Bloomington, Indiana. Booker said he was attacked from behind by a group including two white men who were recorded on video attacking him. The video was seen around the world, and the men were charged with crimes including assault, but now a prosecutor has charted Vauhxx as well, who said the attack against him was racially motivated. Booker said after he refused to forgive the men so the prosecutor could drop the charges he was charged in retaliation.
