A woman who found a bullet hole in her home a few days after finding a bullet said Bloomington Police Capt. Ryan Pedigo.
The 77-year-old woman told police she found a bullet in her kitchen around the 24th or 25th of July but didn’t tell the police.
Pedigo said on the 24th, a security guard working at Union @ Crescent apartment complex reported seeing a person fire a gun from a vehicle. The guard told police he saw a dark-colored car with tinted windows traveling around the 1100 block of N. Crescent.
The male driver of the car drove west through the apartment complex and fired a single shot out of the driver’s side window. The man extended his left arm from the window of the car, and the guard saw the flash from the shot being fired. Pedigo couldn’t guarantee the bullet fired was the one the woman found on her kitchen floor.
August 1st the woman found a bullet hole in her home and reported it to the police because she thought someone had fired more shots. But it was determined the bullet traveled from the west before piercing a wall near the kitchen of the house. Police believe the bullet and the bullet hole are from the same event.
