A knife-wielding man was arrested outside a Bloomington bar early Sunday morning where he tried to enter without wearing a mask, according to the Bloomington Police Department.
The unmasked man walked past the doorman at the Video Saloon before 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning, and was immediately told he needed to wear a mask. The man grabbed the doorman, and a scuffle ensued as the man was forcibly removed from the business.
The man came back holding a knife and demanding to know why he was hit in the face, and his lip bloodied. The bouncer called the police rather than deal with the man standing at the bottom of the steps near the entrance with a knife in his hand.
Police warned the man he needed to leave, but he wouldn’t stay quiet, so he was arrested for intimidation and disorderly conduct, according to the police. The man was taken to IU Health Bloomington to be checked before going to jail.
The man has been trespassed for life and is no longer welcome at the Video Saloon.
The United States has now lost over 639-thousand citizens in a pandemic that continues to kill people across the planet. The Delta Variant of the deadly COVID-19 virus is now ravaging mostly unvaccinated Americans and continues to kill. Millions more Americans have been sickened, and medical professionals are still trying to understand the long-term health implications of catching the coronavirus.
