A man was charged with battery after fighting another man over a dollar in Seminary Park Thursday, according to Bloomington Police Department Lt. Lucas Tate.
Police were called after the two men, one armed with a golf club, and the other with a belt, began to fight. The men were still fighting when the police arrived. They were then put into cuffs as police sorted out the situation.
One of the men reported the other asked him for a dollar, but he refused, so the man got upset, according to Tate. The men then began to fight.
The 25-year-old man who asked for the dollar is being charged with a level A misdemeanor for battery, according to Tate. The police arrest log lists the man as currently unhoused.
