City Offers Free On-Street Parking For Thanksgiving Weekend and in City Garages Saturdays in December
Bloomington, Ind. – The City of Bloomington will offer free parking on the street downtown and in City garages from Thursday, November 25 through Sunday, November 28 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday and to support downtown business activity.
Throughout the month of December, Saturday parking in the City’s public garages at Morton Street, Walnut Street, 4th Street, and the Trades District will be offered free of charge. Additionally, garage parking will be free Friday, December 24; Friday, December 31; and Saturday, January 1, 2022. Parking in City garages and on the street is always free on Sundays.
On-street parking is free on the following City holidays and additional dates during the upcoming season:
- Thursday, November 25*
- Friday, November 26*
- Saturday, November 27 (In recognition of Small Business Saturday and the Holiday Market at Showers Common)
- Friday, December 24*
- Saturday, December 25
- Saturday, January 1, 2022
- Monday, January 3, 2022*
*indicates City holiday, when City offices are closed
