Organizations Invited to Apply for Downtown Outreach Grants

Bloomington, Ind.–The City of Bloomington invites 501(c)3 organizations to apply for City funding to fund projects that will improve the human condition of Bloomington residents who are unhoused or who are in jeopardy of becoming homeless.

The 2022 Downtown Outreach Grants (DTO) application is available at bloomington.in.gov/cfrd.

The City’s Community and Family Resources Department is responsible for the distribution and administration of this fund. In 2021, $224,000 was distributed to local non-profit agencies through this fund.

The deadline for the 2022 grants cycle is Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 5 p.m. Awards will be announced by February 15, 2022.

A portion of this year’s grant program is funded through Mayor John Hamilton’s Recover Forward initiative to help Bloomington recover from the pandemic and economic collapse, and advance racial, economic, and climate justice. Learn more at bloomington.in.gov/recoverforward.   Questions regarding the grant process and completed applications should be directed to Marissa Parr-Scott at [email protected] or 812.349.3430.
