Marsh Lovejoy of Cook Inc., sent the following information to the Bloomingtonian Friday to let the community know the Stride Center will temporarily relocate after a sewage system failure in the building:
“The Stride Center located at 312 North Morton Street in Bloomington suffered a sewage system failure that forced closure of the building until repairs can be made. Effective Monday, January 31, the Stride Center will temporarily relocate to 822 West 1st Street, Suite 1 in Bloomington. The phone number to reach the Stride Center remains (812) 650-4878.
Stride Center is a crisis diversion center that serves as a caring place of transition for people suffering from substance use and mental health disorders. The center fulfills a community-wide need for people experiencing substance use or mental health crisis who need a connection to care and a place to go rather than hospitalization or imprisonment.
Stride Center is a partnership of the City of Bloomington, Bloomington Health Foundation, Bloomington Police Dept., Centerstone, Community Foundation, Cook Medical, Indiana University Health, Indiana University Police Dept., Monroe County Government. Monroe County Prosecutor’s office, Monroe County Sheriff and the Public Defender’s Office.
