City Sanitation Services Canceled for Thursday, February 3, 2022

Bloomington, IN–In consideration of the predicted approaching winter storm, the closure of the Hoosier Disposal transfer facility, and the potential for significant snow or ice accumulation, the City of Bloomington Sanitation Division has announced that trash and recycling collection will be suspended on Thursday, February 3, 2022.

Residents should not put their carts out for collection at this time. Based on the forecast for Friday and Saturday, it is unlikely that conditions will allow for the pickup of Thursday’s route this week. In that event, additional volumes of waste and recycling, within reason, will be collected during next week’s collection.

Updates about next week’s collection schedule are accessible by scanning the QR code below with your smartphone’s camera or by visiting https://api.recollect.net/r/area/bloomingtonin.

For more information and updates, please contact Department of Public Works Director Adam Wason at [email protected] or 812-349-3516.
