WIUX Announces “Music Market” Festival to be held in IU’s Franklin Hall

March 26 Festival to Feature Live Music and Local Artisan Market

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – This Saturday, March 26, from noon to 7 p.m., WIUX will hold its inaugural “Music Market” festival in Indiana University’s Franklin Hall. The free festival will feature regional and local bands, including Post Sex Nachos from Columbia, Missouri, Namen Namen from Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Bloomington favorites Six Foot Blonde and Westhead.

The festival will also host an artisan market consisting of local businesses, artists and eateries. It is open to everyone.

“We’ve been working tirelessly to put the festival together, and we’re excited that it’s finally here,” said Anya Heminger, WIUX’s Special Events Director. “You won’t want to miss it.”

Music Market is serving as a 2022 alternative to WIUX’s annual Culture Shock festival. In a time of significant roadblocks to planning and general uncertainty, WIUX looks forward to providing a more regional event that highlights local talent.

More information on Music Market including scheduled vendors and additional music acts will be published on WIUX’s Instagram page (@wiuxfm) in the days leading up to the event.
