Driver dies in single-vehicle collision Sunday night north of Bloomington

A driver died in a single-vehicle collision around 6:59 p.m. Sunday, according to Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Troy Thomas.

A caller told central dispatch the driver of a silver car was driving erratically, and possibly falling asleep, according to Thomas. But, before law enforcement could locate the vehicle, the vehicle crashed in the area of Indiana Old 37 and Bethel Lane.

CPR was administered to the driver by witnesses, and emergency workers.

“Further investigation will be done by the coroner’s office,” according to Thomas.
