Man pulls gun on Good Samaritan early Monday

A 25-year-old bicyclist called police after a man pointed a gun at him early Monday morning, according to Bloomington Police Department Captain Ryan Pedigo.

The man told police he was riding a bicycle in the area of West 8th Street and West Fountain Drive when he saw a man mumbling who seemed to be in distress. He stopped to help the man, and asked if he was okay.

The man then pulled a black handgun out of his waistband, and began pointing it at the Good Samaritan who then sped away on his bicycle before calling the police.
