Morgan County sheriffs chase sports car traveling over 145mph Wednesday

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office pursued a black sports car traveling at speeds over 145 miles per hour with the headlights turned off, Wednesday, February 8, 2023. The pursuit was terminated at Sample Road in Monroe County north of Bloomington, Indiana on I-69 southbound, according to scanner traffic.

The reason for the pursuit traffic stop was traveling at excessive speeds without headlights, according to scanner traffic. A member of the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office saw the pursuit heading south but was unable to turn around to join the pursuit.

The pursuit began before 10:56 p.m. and was terminated around 11 p.m. with the vehicle still traveling over 145 miles per hour before deputies lost sight.
