League of Women Voters schedules forum for Mayoral candidates in the May 2023 primary election

Voters who want to know more about candidates for Mayor of Bloomington before voting in the upcoming municipal primary election are invited to attend a forum on April 3, scheduled and co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Bloomington-Monroe County. The forum is free and open to the public.

Sponsoring the forum with the League are Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Bloomington Alumnae Chapter; IU PACE (Political and Civic Engagement); Kappa Tau Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority; Monroe County NOW; NAACP Monroe County; National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum, Indiana Chapter; South Central Indiana Citizens’ Climate Lobby; and the Unitarian Universalist Church of Bloomington.

The Monday, April 3 forum with mayoral candidates will take place from 6:30-8:00 pm at the Tri-North Middle School Performance Center, 1000 W. 15th Street.

A number of other organizations are also offering nonpartisan candidate forums or events for the 2023 primary election. A current list is provided at the League’s website, Candidate Forums – League of Women Voters of Bloomington-Monroe County (lwv-bmc.org). The list will be updated as information becomes available, making it advisable to check the host website(s) for any changes in plans.

Early voting starts on April 4 and continues until 12:00 pm on May 1. Primary election day is May 2.
