Male possibly overdoses at McDonald’s – May 15, 2023

Police were called to check on a 31-year-old man who possibly overdosed at the McDonald’s restaurant in the 2800 block of East Third Street. The man was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Laptop stolen from backyard – May 15, 2023

A man said he left his laptop in his backyard on North Crescent Road, and someone stole it overnight.

Shrub stolen from apartment complex – May 15, 2023

An employee at The Crest apartment complex reported that a shrub was stolen from their property.

Man steals magazines from adult bookstore – May 15, 2023

A 55-year-old man was arrested and theft when he stole two magazines from Lovers Playground on North College Avenue. Police recognized him in surveillance footage.

Man tries to bite police officer – May 15, 2023

A 24-year-old man with an active warrant tried to bite a police officer who was arresting him. He wasn’t able to bite the officer, but he was taken to jail after being put in restraints. He now faces additional charges for resisting arrest.

Rape – May 15, 2023

A woman reported being raped by a known male, but later told police she didn’t wish to continue with the investigation. Police had collected a rape kit from the hospital, and booked it into evidence.

Anatolia restaurant vandalized – May 16, 2023

A key holder for Anatolia restaurant reported that someone put super glue in the locks of the business.

Checks stolen at Wheeler Mission – May 16, 2023

A 65-year-old woman at Wheeler Mission reported that someone stole five blank checks, but it was unknown if they had been used.

Man arrested at Bloomington Travelodge – May 16, 2023

A man was arrested after creating a disturbance at a hotel in the 2500 block of East Third Street when police discovered he had an arrest warrant. He ran from the officers, then resisted arrest, and made false identity statements, according to police.

Empty residence set on fire – May 16, 2023

Officers were called to an abandoned residence in the 700 block of South Walnut after someone set a small fire in the back room damaging the structure. Police are investigating it as arson.

Motorcycle theft – May 16, 2023

A man told police someone stole his motorcycle from outside his residence in the 3700 block of East McCracken Way.

Woman assaulted at parking garage – May 17, 2023

A woman reported being assaulted at the 7th and Walnut Parking garage. She told police a group of females spit on her, hit her with their fists, and a purse. She wasn’t injured, according to police.

Road sign hits vehicle – May 17, 2023

A woman was involved in a vehicle accident when a road sign hit her vehicle causing damage. She wasn’t injured.

Woman bitten by dog – May 17, 2023

A 25-year-old woman had injuries and pain after being bitten by a dog in the 1600 block of East Hillside Drive.

Bomb threat at Downtown Transit Center – May 18, 2023

Police were unable to find a bomb after a male handed a note to a woman saying there was one at the Bloomington Transit Station. Police were unable to find the male who made the threat.

Generator stolen – May 18, 2023

A man reported that someone stole a generator from a yard in the 1200 block of North Maple Street.

Shoes stolen – May 18, 2023

Four females went into Remix Bloomington at College Mall, tried on four pairs of Nike shoes, then left the store without paying.
