Gallery: Truck suspended in forest after collision early Monday South of Bloomington, Indiana; Driver exits vehicle

A truck collided with trees in the 8700 block of South Old State Road 37 just after 1 a.m. Monday morning.
The driver of the truck was able to walk away, but the truck was wedged into a wooded area.
Members of the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, and IU Health Bloomington, and the Monroe Fire Protection District to the collision. Flares were used to warn drivers as the road was mostly shut down while a worker from a wrecker service examined the crash scene and decided a larger vehicle would be necessary to remove the Chevy Silverado truck. Powerlines just above the truck were also a consideration.
The hitch of the truck was helping keep the truck from sliding further into the woods.
