The Bloomington Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place Friday night in a residential neighborhood on South Madison Street in Bloomington.
Several gunshots were fired around 10 p.m. in the 2600 block of South Madison Street on June 16, 2023, according to police dispatches. The Bloomington Police established a perimeter around the scene of the shooting.
Police cars lined South Madison Street and West Watson Street as officers worked to gather evidence. The area where the shooting occurred was cordoned off with yellow police tape. White markers, placed near a stop sign, were used to pinpoint the locations of shell casings in the street.
