ELLETTSVILLE, Ind. — June 18, 2023
Multiple fire departments responded to a vehicle fire next to a residence on Hickory Grove Lane in Ellettsville, Indiana early this morning.
MFD units Engine 29, 39, Ladder 25, Battalion 22, and Ellettsville Fire Department Engine 81 were dispatched to the scene around 3:15 am, according to officials.
Upon arrival, Engine 29 reported a fully involved vehicle fire and immediately initiated fire attack operations. The crew swiftly extinguished the flames within a few minutes, successfully containing the fire to the vehicle. Firefighters inspected the nearby residence to ensure it remained unaffected by the blaze.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Authorities have not yet disclosed any preliminary findings or identified any potential factors that may have contributed to the incident.
No injuries were reported because of the fire.
