BLOOMINGTON, IN— June 20, 2023

In response to its burgeoning animal population, the City of Bloomington Animal Care and Control (CBACC) is urgently requesting donations of supplies to meet the pressing needs of the animals under its care.

The CBACC, responsible for the welfare of numerous animals in Bloomington, has found itself facing a shortage of essential supplies required to ensure the well-being of the animals in its care. In an appeal made to the public, the organization shared a list of the most urgently needed items, encouraging individuals to donate whatever they can.

The supplies sought by the CBACC include but are not limited to food, bedding, medical supplies, and other essentials crucial for the daily care of animals. Those willing to contribute can drop off the items at the shelter located at 3410 S Walnut St., Bloomington, IN 47401. Alternatively, donors may choose to ship the supplies directly to the shelter.

To facilitate the donation process, CBACC has also set up an Amazon registry, where individuals can access a list of required items and select those they wish to purchase and ship. The registry can be found at the following link: While the registry serves as a guide, the organization welcomes donations of any supplies that may not be included in the list.

Expressing their gratitude for the ongoing support received from the Bloomington community, CBACC emphasized the importance of these contributions in ensuring the well-being of the animals. The organization appreciates the efforts made by individuals to assist in providing a safe and nurturing environment for the animals in their care.

For further information on how to contribute or specific donation requirements, interested parties are encouraged to contact the City of Bloomington Animal Care and Control directly at: (812) 349-3492
