Kicking off Session II: Summer Fitness 2023 in the Park Series Returns to Switchyard Park in Bloomington, Indiana

Session II of the Summer Fitness in the Park series will commence tonight, offering residents of Bloomington and its surrounding areas an opportunity to engage in fun-filled fitness activities. Hosted at the Main Stage in Switchyard Park, this community initiative aims to promote a healthy lifestyle while fostering a sense of community.

Participants are encouraged to join the sessions every Monday and Tuesday at 7:00 p.m., as well as on Fridays at noon. Each session will last for an hour, providing an ideal opportunity for individuals to destress and engage in physical exercise. The Main Stage, with its natural surroundings, serves as the perfect backdrop for these invigorating activities.

The Summer Fitness in the Park series features a diverse range of classes catering to various interests. On Mondays at 7 p.m., enthusiasts can immerse themselves in the movements of Tai Chi, a form of martial arts known for its focus on balance and relaxation. Tuesdays at 7 p.m. present a Zumba session, a popular dance fitness program that combines Latin-inspired music with dynamic dance moves. Finally, on Fridays at noon, participants can embrace the serenity of Beginning Yoga, a class that introduces the fundamentals of yoga practice.

To ensure accessibility for all individuals, the classes are open to people of all ages. Whether you’re a seasoned fitness enthusiast or a beginner looking to embark on a healthier lifestyle, the Summer Fitness in the Park series provides a welcoming and inclusive environment. The cost of attending these invigorating sessions is $5 per class. Alternatively, participants can choose to avail themselves of a discounted rate of $45 for any 10 classes, for those who wish to immerse themselves in a range of activities.
