Bargersville, Ind. – July 3, 2023
Bargersville Fire and EMS, in Johnson County, Indiana, responded to a report of a car engulfed in flames at the intersection of State Rd 135 and Smokey Row Rd Sunday night.
Emergency crews discovered an injured male driver who recounted an incident involving a launched mortar firework that landed and detonated inside his vehicle, causing him harm. The driver was subsequently transported to the hospital and is currently in stable condition.
The details surrounding the incident remain under investigation, with authorities seeking information from the public regarding the origin of the fireworks.
