The Bloomington Police Department is currently investigating a robbery incident that occurred during the early hours of July 24, 2023, resulting in injuries to a local resident and the theft of several personal belongings, including a tent.
According to the official police report, the incident took place at approximately 02:40 am on July 24th. A 50-year-old resident of Bloomington, reported that he was attacked by two unidentified male assailants wielding a baseball bat near the vicinity of 1010 S Walnut St.
The suspects struck Mr. Tice with the baseball bat and proceeded to forcibly take various items from him. Among the stolen possessions were jewelry, cell phones, clothes, a tent, and a battery charger.
As a result of the attack, Mr. Tice sustained injuries. He had a visible knot on his right elbow and red marks on his lower back. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene, and they provided medical assistance to the victim.
