Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington will be offering its first-ever Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training course in Mooresville starting this fall, according to Ivy Tech. The course, aimed at preparing students to become licensed EMTs, will be conducted from August 22 to December 14, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with classes running from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Moreover, eligible students may avail themselves of the opportunity to attend the EMT training course for free through the state’s Next Level Jobs grant.
Ivy Tech’s EMT training program is designed to equip students with the necessary skills to provide out-of-hospital emergency medical care for critical and emergent patients. Successful completion of the certification program will enable graduates to sit for the licensing exam, a prerequisite for employment in the field of Emergency Medical Technicians.
