Morgenstern’s Bookstore Announces Upcoming Author Talks and Special Events

Morgenstern’s, Indiana’s largest independent bookstore, has unveiled a lineup of upcoming events of potential interest to book enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.

Mitch Teplitsky, the Marketing/PR Director & Author Talk host at Morgenstern’s, shared details of the events scheduled to take place at the bookstore located at 849 S Auto Mall Rd, Bloomington. The store’s regular hours are Monday through Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Tuesday, October 10, 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm AUTHOR TALK: Amrita Chakrabarti Myers, in conversation with Maria Hamilton Abegunde

Award-winning historian Amrita Chakrabarti Myers will discuss her riveting story about Julia Ann Chinn, the enslaved wife of Richard Mentor Johnson, who served as the US vice president under Martin Van Buren.

Wednesday, October 11, 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm AUTHOR TALK with Brittany Means: Hell If We Don’t Change Our Ways

Brittany Means will explore the power of the human spirit and the written word in her ode to combat harrowing childhood memories.

Thursday, October 12, 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm Nature Hotspots in Bloomington: Ken Keffer & Heather Ray

Ken Keffer and Heather Ray, owners of Wild Birds Unlimited, will present an interactive session highlighting nature hotspots in Bloomington.

Wednesday, October 18, 6:30 pm Storytime Special with cast from Curious George

Cast members from Constellation Stage + Screen’s upcoming production of CURIOUS GEORGE: THE GOLDEN MEATBALL (running from Oct 20 to Nov 5) will visit the bookstore. They will read, discuss acting, and be available for photos.
