MORGAN COUNTY, Indiana — October 2, 2023
District 33 of the Indiana State Police is actively investigating the theft of a Maroon 2000 Dodge Dakota, along with two dog kennels containing dogs, reported stolen earlier today.
According to authorities, the theft occurred just after 2 p.m. on Monday, October 2, 2023, when a Maroon 2000 Dodge Dakota, parked at an undisclosed location within Morgan County, was taken without authorization. The vehicle was reported stolen by witnesses who described the suspect as a white male with red hair and a beard.
The stolen Dodge Dakota, prominently displaying a maroon exterior, was equipped with two black dog kennels secured in the truck bed. The kennels contained dogs at the time of the theft.
The Morgan County Sheriff’s Department has initiated a search for the stolen vehicle and is urging anyone with information related to this incident to come forward. The department is actively coordinating with other law enforcement agencies in the area to apprehend the suspect and recover the stolen vehicle and animals safely.
