IU Kelley School of Business Announces Futurecast: Economic Outlook in Bloomington with the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce and Bloomington Rotary Club; Tickets for community members are 30 dollars

Bloomington, Ind. – October 17, 2023 – The Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business is set to bring its state-wide tour, “Futurecast: Economic Outlook,” to Bloomington, Indiana, on November 9th. The event will be hosted at the Monroe Convention Center and aims to provide insights into the 2024 economic forecast in collaboration with The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce and the Bloomington Rotary Club. The tour’s journey will commence in Indianapolis on November 1st, 2023.

For the past 50 years, the Kelley School of Business, based on research from its Indiana Business Research Center, has been delivering essential economic forecasts to various stakeholders according to the Bloomington Chamber of Commerce, including Indiana businesses, government entities, and nonprofit organizations. Formerly known as “Business Outlook,” this event offers the audience an opportunity to engage with some of the state’s leading economic thinkers, discussing how the evolving economic landscape will impact the local region, the state of Indiana, and the nation in the upcoming year.

“The annual Futurecast event provides our community with valuable insights into the cutting-edge economic research and data analysis conducted at IU’s Kelley School of Business,” remarked Eric Spoonmore, President & CEO of the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce. “We are thrilled to partner with the Kelley School of Business and the Bloomington Rotary Club to keep our member organizations informed about current economic conditions that can guide strategic decision-making in the year ahead.”

The panelists will offer expertise on key economic indicators such as GDP growth, inflation, interest rates, employment, and industry trends. They will evaluate the overall business environment and consider the factors that might shape the economy and financial markets over the next year.

While the event is open to the public, registration is mandatory. Tickets can be purchased on the Chamber’s website at chamberbloomington.org. Individual seats are available at $20 for Chamber members and $30 for community members.
