The MCHA Animal Care Campus Opens it’s Doors for
Appointment-Free Dog and Cat Vaccines in November
Bloomington, IN – The Monroe County Humane Association (MCHA) is heading back to home base for the monthly Mobile Vaccine Clinics this Winter! On Sunday, November 5, 2023, from 1-3 p.m. the MCHA Animal Care Campus doors will be open to the public with no appointment needed to offer accessible preventative care and wellness services for dogs and cats throughout our community.
This service is aimed at removing the barriers that stand between vulnerable pet owners and the care that their pet’s need to live healthy and happy lives.
Mobile Clinics offer a range of services, including legally mandated rabies vaccines for pets aged 12 weeks (about 3 months) and older. Additionally, clinics provide nail trims, anal gland expressions, microchips, and preventive measures for flea, tick, and heartworm.
Subsidized rates are available to residents experiencing financial hardship. To qualify for these rates, residents should bring valid documentation with them to Mobile Vaccine Clinic. Safety is paramount. Cats must be in carriers, and dogs must be leashed (no retractable leashes). It’s essential for pet owners to understand that pets showing signs of illness or aggression might be turned away.
Communities or organizations interested in hosting a wellness clinic are warmly invited to reach out. This is a golden opportunity to bring essential pet care services to your area.

Residents who miss the November Mobile Vaccine Clinic have one last opportunity to attend this year on December 5 at the MCHA Animal Care Campus, located at 791 S. Fieldstone Blvd.
2024 Mobile Vaccine Clinic dates and locations will be announced in December.
