The Local Clay Potters’ Guild will present their 25th Annual Holiday Show & Sale, set to take place at the Monroe Convention Center in Bloomington. This annual event is scheduled for Friday, November 3, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and Saturday, November 4, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Celebrating a quarter-century of creativity and craftsmanship, this event promises to showcase an array of stunning pottery creations from talented Indiana artists.
The event will be held in the Great Room on the second floor of the Monroe Convention Center, providing a spacious venue for both artists and patrons alike. Local Clay members have been crafting new and captivating pottery pieces to offer their customers.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the potters behind the show and witness the latest works produced in their studios. Notably, the guild has recently welcomed two new members, Carol Burt from Muncie and Claire Mack from Bloomington, each adding their distinctive artistic styles to the body of work.
The Great Room will feature an extensive selection of pottery, including functional tableware, expressive sculptural forms, decorative table and wall pieces, as well as jewelry crafted from earthenware, stoneware, or porcelain clays. Each piece is a testament to the potter’s individual style, featuring classic and innovative forms, complemented by a range of glaze firing methods that yield a diverse palette of colors, from soft, subtle hues to bold and vibrant tones. Visitors are sure to be captivated by the outstanding quality and artistry showcased at this renowned event.
In addition to the Local Clay Potters’ Guild Show & Sale, the event will host the Bloomington Spinners & Weavers Guild and the Indiana Glass Guild, who will each set up their unique shows nearby.
