The Indiana Hoosiers managed to hold off a resilient FGCU Eagles squad at the Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall on Tuesday evening. The game ended with a final score of Indiana 69, FGCU 63.
In a closely contested battle, both teams exchanged leads multiple times, and the game saw six lead changes. Indiana was able to maintain their composure down the stretch and secure the victory.
Indiana’s Trey Galloway led the way for the Hoosiers with 16 points, going 7-of-9 from the field. Malik Reneau added 15 points, while Xavier Johnson contributed 14 points. Kel’el Ware was a dominant force on the boards, collecting 12 rebounds along with his 13 points.
For FGCU, Zach Anderson was the top performer, notching 19 points on 7-of-13 shooting, including 5-of-7 from beyond the arc. Dallion Johnson provided valuable support with 17 points, hitting 5 three-pointers.
The game was marked by a strong defensive effort from both teams, resulting in several lead changes and a closely contested battle throughout. Indiana’s fast break points and points in the paint helped them secure the win.
